Brainstorming Continues For Dynamo

On the 24th of May, we continued our brainstorming session by strengthening our ideas as well as thinking about the whole structure of the system which we will be building.

Besides that, we also worked on our Customer Segments. We had to decide who were our customers in this project. During the time we had in class, we came up with various customers which we were going to face when our project is launched.

Some of them are like investors, donors, the target audience, volunteers and a couple more.
Pros and cons of these customers in relation to our project was also listed out on the sticky notes.

Here we are in action!

Developing Our Vision and Mission Statement

Entrepreneurship. A subject we have to undergo for this semester. As for one of its assignments, we have to form a group and come up with a Social Enterprise project and also prepare a business plan report which will be presented to potential investors and donors.

Our group is formed by 6 members consisting of Dylan, Steve, Sheep, Windy, Evonne and Kim. Together we have formed the group named Dynamo.

~~~
Why DYNAMO?
The name Dynamo has been chosen because dynamo works as a motivator and one of its uses is to change one form to another. This relates closely to what we intend to do with our project,
~~~

Vision n.
an instance of great perception, especially for future developments

Mission n.
a person or a group's vocation

~~~
Our VISION
Our vision is for everyone to have a better life. To experience life, like how one would like to live.
Our MISSION
As for our mission, we are creating a platform to bring people out of poverty. We are about to erase poverty in Malaysia, help unemployed poor to get a better life.
~~~

How did we come up with this idea?

Well for a start, we have noticed that there are still people living in poverty right here in Malaysia and help seems to be just too far away from them.

What we intend to do is to establish an organisation which could help these people develop skills of creating art crafts and confectionery. They are responsible to participate in and start earning, while we are responsible on training them and do sales with their products and goods. With the product sales, 50% from the profit will be divide to each household. By having an additional income, they will then be able to support their own family a better living quality. 30% from the profit will be return to our key partners, while 20% will be use for our expenditure and future development (included 6% government tax, salary, maintenance and advertising).

So in short, we are looking for people living with household income RM2000 and below. We are going to provide them with a set of skills of creating art crafts and confectionery to help them earn a extra income and get a better quality of life for their family. A working place will be provided by us to train them with certain skills to produce goods and products for sales. We are dealing with all the cost, sponsors and key partners, and YOU are only about to join us and start earning!

Ideas on colourful sticky notes

During the event, we were also asked to start brainstorming ideas for our Social Entrepreneurship Project. We came up with a lot of ideas that day which we then narrowed it down to a more solid idea.

Towards the end of the brainstorming session, we have concluded that we were going to help people who are living in poverty in Malaysia. To help them get out of poverty by giving them work, so that they could earn a living to support themselves.

It was a very fruitful day that day.
